This machine has no hope of ever working again, but its beautiful adornment was too much for me to pass up. I have no idea what I am going to do with it, but its decorations and engravings would make terrific embroidery designs don't you think?
I wish they made machines this beautiful today. While I really like my machine, it still just looks like a huge piece of white plastic. Not very inspiring.

This brings back memories of my mom. She had a Singer that looked a lot like this one. I learned to sew on it.

That machine's all mechanical - nothing complicated. They were made for people to be able to service themselves at home. I'll bet you could get her running again if you want to. Check out sewingmachinerepair@yahoogroups.com for help if you want to give it a try. It's a beautiful machine, and wouldn't it be lovely to be able to sew with her?
