The fact is I use at least two every work day. Three if you count my morning latte. (yes I am one for those Seattlites) That comes to about 520 paper cups a year, give or take a few. I won't go into how bad that is for the environment, because I researched it and feel guilty enough, it would just be salting my wound.
So I bought this cute little cup from YAVAGlass on Etsy to replace the paper cups I use at work. It comes with bonus points for being made from a recycled glass bottle. Or so I like to think it does.
As for the morning latte cup? Baby steps. baby steps.

Congrats on your new direction! I love yava glass. I got my husband some of their beer bottle glasses for Christmas one year. They are nifty. I'm still working on the latte cups too, you're not alone.

Gah! 520 cups! Did ya know your latte is 10cents cheaper at Starbucks if you bring your own cup? Everybody wins.
Congrats on taking the first step!

Love the glass, perfect for your latte! Had not given my starbucks to go a second thought - I will have to now.

Have you seen the "I Am Not a Paper Cup" for your morning latte. I love the look of it so much it makes me smile every morning separate from the whole paper-cup-bad thing.

Kristin - I have seen those and was thinking about getting one and you pushed me over the edge. We will see how it goes. I tried this once before and always forgot to bring the cup home to use in the morning. I don't think I will be any better, but I am willing to try again. Thanks

Just feel good about every time you DO remember ;). (It helps me when I am using a bag that has a pocket it fits in so I don't have to remember to pick it up/have the cup in my hand.) I have bookmarked your blog into my Visit list, it's pure "lovely" - thank you for sharing.
