Ok so I changed my mind a few times about what to give my cousin and her husband for their new baby. I bought lots of patterns, new fabrics.........but then I got too afraid that I couldn't sew all those tiny seams. Then I found some really cute toys that changed my gift idea all together. I still wanted to make them something. My cousin is extremely creative and artistic and I knew she would appreciate something special made. Just a little something to hold the toys. Enter, the fabric bucket pattern by maya*made. Its very well written, with helpful photos and much simpler to make than I thought it would be. I will definitely be making some more soon.

I am so glad you let me know about Maya offering that pattern for sale. I have long admired her buckets and just could not swing buying one!
All of yours have come out beautifully!

It's been a while since I've been to your blog...
You have your mother's knack for gift giving. It's hard to remember the individual gifts you receive as a child. It's all about crumpling paper and moving on to the next toy but I can still remember so many of the gifts your mother sent. I always wanted to open them as soon as they arrived. I still have most of them.
This was such a thoughtful gift. The bag is adorable. I've actually used the outside fabric in some of my quilts. Olive loves her giraffe, unfortunately, so does Gus, the dog, and he's always stalking it waiting for his opportunity to attack. The only way to keep her still while I'm changing her diaper is to give her Ollie.
Keep it coming. I'm thinking about making some cloth napkins now that I checked out your tutorial!
Thanks again.

Hello cousin Laura! You are too sweet. Thank you for all you nice comments, especially the comparison to my mother's gift giving talents.
