I definately have a lot to learn about growning veggies. Most things relate to patience, which I tend to have little of. I get too excited and don't really plan for the right conditions, water, sun, spacing, time......but I still have a lot of fun!
This was the first beet of the season. I didn't let if get big enough, but its still pretty. My second attempt at radishes were harvested last weekend. They were huge but not too spicy, not sure if that was the variety or too much water. So far herbs (chives, parsley and thyme) and arugula seem to be the best bet for me.

Ok so I changed my mind a few times about what to give my cousin and her husband for their new baby. I bought lots of patterns, new fabrics.........but then I got too afraid that I couldn't sew all those tiny seams. Then I found some really cute toys that changed my gift idea all together. I still wanted to make them something. My cousin is extremely creative and artistic and I knew she would appreciate something special made. Just a little something to hold the toys. Enter, the fabric bucket pattern by maya*made. Its very well written, with helpful photos and much simpler to make than I thought it would be. I will definitely be making some more soon.
